Aspirations for the year 2017

God has a plan for my life. His plan for my life is not boring. That is for sure. I know some people who think of the Christian life as a life that is without "fun." I'd have to say I completely disagree. :) I have a ton of fun, and it is a comfort to know that when things don't go the way I think they should, God's got it under control. 2016 was a huge year in my life. I finished up my year at Crown College in Powell, TN, completed EMT school during the summer and got my state license and national certification, and managed to make my way through the first semester of paramedic school. And as of right now, I know I am doing exactly what the Lord wants me to.  I am immensely excited about this new year to do new (and not so new) things! Hence, I have made a few goals for this fresh year:

1. Read the Bible through chronologically. 
2. Finish paramedic school (!!!)
3. Get a job working with the local ambulance company.
4. Get back into my favorite hobby, photography.

Hey there, moo moos!

It sounds funny, but that's how we call the newest residents at the farm. Introducing Honeybelle and Sugar Muffin! (We call them Honey and Sugar for short.)

They are so cute! Sugar is two weeks old today and Honey 4 days older. I bought them for $200 each and they're pure Jersey. Right now they are being fed by nipple buckets twice a day with milk replacer. We leave a little grain and hay too. They eat the grain, but I haven't seen them do anything with the hay yet. Yesterday I went out and took a bazillion pictures of them. Unfortunately, it was just about to rain so the pictures look sort of dreary, but here's a few of them.

Bacon and her piglets are doing well. She is starting to wean them and you can tell they aren't happy about that.

We still have about two years till we can milk the cows, but I can wait. Meanwhile, I'll just play with them. :) -Leigha

2013 is here!

Happy New Year! You know when older people hear you grew 2 inches and they say, "Time flies so fast!"   I feel like that and I'm only 15! I hope you guys are all well, because I am fighting my third sickness this season. School started back up this week. Boom! All this work is piled on you. I'm doing well with that though. I'm very excited about the possibility of the Voices of Victory going to England this summer. It's not that far away. :) I hope y'all have a great productive year!

Welcoming a New Member

We have a new member here in the Bauder household. His name is Alfie (short for Alfred) and he's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He's Ben's Christmas present. Alfie is 11 weeks old and soooo cute!

Macy is a little jealous because Ben doesn't play with her now, but that just means I can spend more time with her. After all, she's my dog. :)

My parents have decided to start living healthier and they joined a gym. Ever since they did that I have been seriously wiped out! Today we swam in their huge pool. I feel as if I could go take a nap and wake up tomorrow morning! LOL

I'm getting my braces off!

As you can probably guess, I'm so excited!!! Dr. Poppell (my orthodontist) said I can get my braces off and Mom set an appointment for July 14th!!!! (I'm planning on camouflage retainers!)  Yaaaaaay!  (^_^) Leigha

Piano Recital

My 1st piano recital is coming up on June 5th! Well it's not really my first piano recital. I had one in 2nd grade but that was 7 years ago. I will be playing Robert Schumann's Humming Song. It's a very formal occasion so yesterday Mom and I went shopping at the mall. We found a very pretty dress. I like it a lot. What do you think? It was $100 and 40% off! Great deal!

Here's something we weren't expecting.

I can FINALLY log on!

Now that my computer is cooperating again, I'll tell you about some of the things that are happening. Today, VCBC had our Easter Cantata entitled "Who do you say that I am?"  I think we did good. :D Pastor reminded me this morning that the try outs for the teen choir are next month. Praying I do good. I still can't decide whether I want to be soprano or alto...
       Sunday the 3rd was the last day of the Sunday School competition. -drum roll- WE WON!!! Hooray! We had 599 people show up on time for Sunday School! Since we got over 500 people, Bro. Adam had to get a pie in his face just like he said. LOL

After the service, the teens stayed and ate lunch and played games. I was so fun! We played volleyball with a huge ball. I mean really big ball. We also played man hunt (hide and seek without the tag and in the dark) in the sanctuary and baptistery.
       On April 6th I brought my camera with me when I took Macy out in the morning. I'll make a separate post for those pictures.

Birthdays in March

Have you ever noticed how many birthdays are in March? I know a ton of people who have birthdays in March. Well, today is my birthday. I'm turning 14!! The best weather outside... not in most opinions! It's thundering and raining pretty hard. I think it just shows how magnificent and mighty my God is. Exactly a week ago was Ben's birthday. On the 13th? was my grandpa's (on my mom's side [Japanese]) birthday. I have a ton of friends whose birthdays were this month. My daddy came home from work this morning and made me my favorite breakfast: biscuits and gravy! And he bought Krispy Kreme doughnuts on the way home! How nice! What a wonderful family I have! Our New Car

Yesterday we got a new car and spent at least 5 hours (not kidding) waiting. It was soooo boring. I think it was worth it though. We got a Hundai Elantra Touring. It's bright red. I mean really red. It's nice though, after mom's car, anything is nice. The funniest thing is that it's mom's car and the only person the Bluetooth doesn't work with is mom! We have to make the call for her.     Here are some pictures.

They had pumpkins for center pieces on the tables and Ben asked if we could keep them. The manager said yes!

In 5 days I'll be so busy until December 19 I think. My former blog Chacott Girl's M is coming to the US with her parents. Yay! I'll try to keep you updated. For now all we're doing is cleaning. Next we're going to clean the garage. I'll take a picture after wards so you know the difference. Here is a corner now.

Macy's Monkey

Just now, Ben and I were looking through tricks to teach Macy. Well, while we were trying to teach something else, we came up with this. Isn't it so cute? We called it "Monkey".
